The Situation Before LiiD

Mynewsdesk is a Public Relationships company which was purchased by a Norwegian media group NHST in 2008. The group owns several of Norway’s leading business publications, such as, “Dagens Naeringsliv” and “DN.no.” Today Mynewsdesk is AAA-Dun and Brad Street rated and the faster growing company in the group.

As a tech driven business, Mynewsdesk was looking to provide their sales team with tools that would make their sales process faster and more efficient. It was important to them that their salespeople could be “on-the-go” and have access to reliable and up-to-date data from their CRM on their mobiles.

Juha Herranen, CEO at LiiD, believed that LiiD could be beneficial for Mynewsdesk and suggested to their Business Development Manager to test it out. In March 2016, the sales team started its testing period and quickly saw the value that LiiD could add to their company. The app provided them with features which proved to be very useful for the sales team, such as the possibilities to create follow-ups, recording notes with speech-to-text and the instant access to valuable CRM data. One of the tester’s had stated that LiiD had brought “a bit of luxury to the cold calling process.”
